Biography


Susan E. Wiesner is the founder of Susan E. Wiesner, A Law Corporation, and a seasoned family law attorney with a deeply rooted commitment to advocacy, equity, and service. Ms. Wiesner believes her background in international affairs and her personal experience as a single mother of two have guided her to an intellectual, emotional, and spiritual pinnacle through her client work.

Ms. Wiesner’s global outlook is reflected in her education at the London School of Economics & Political Science, Creighton University School of Law, and Oxford University, as well as in her volunteer work and family life. Her legal career was shaped by early mentorship under esteemed family law attorney Sorrell Trope, where she practiced until founding her own firm in 2000.

A devoted advocate for access to justice, Ms. Wiesner has contributed hundreds of pro bono hours to the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law, including teaching a course on foundational family law for new volunteers. In addition, she continues to take on a pro bono client every year as part of her professional commitment to the community.

Ms. Wiesner proudly serves on the Board of Directors for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music, a nonprofit that provides affordable music education and scholarships to children in the community.

She is widely respected by peers and clients alike for her integrity, compassion, and formidable legal skills, earning consistent recognition in Super Lawyers and the prestigious AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
